The aim of the Purity Class is to keep in focus the true values of good morals, high standards of living, and to discourage all forms of vile behavior that violates true Christ virtue. The Purity Class is unique and unlike any other organization of its kind in that, it not only teaches youth how to be pure, chaste, and holy in the home, school, neighborhood and church; but it offers a full activity and involvement program that promotes a Christian lifestyle. The Purity Class achieves its goals in many ways including forums, rap sessions and other programs.

Classes are held every Tuesday except the third Tuesday of the month.

The Ministers’ Wives Circle is an organized group of minister’s wives. They teach and learn to have patience, endurance, forbearance and a heart full of love, mercy and understanding for everyone. They are helpers, counselors and examples for women church members.

Through special programs, talks and meetings the minister’s wife can benefit from the experience of other minister’s wives. In some cases, minister’s wives can fill speaking engagements for her husband. Whatever her qualifications are she is the power behind the throne and should assist wherever she can.

President: Missionary Marketta Thomaston

The Deacons’ Wives Circle can be depended upon in the time of bereavement and illness. They are to take responsibility of helping at funerals and to be of personal aid to the family. The deacon wife may also help with the preparation of communion.

Like their husbands, the deacons wife should be filled with the Holy Ghost and capable of being entrusted with the program of God.

The Nurses’ Unit’s role is to serve the church by providing a health ministry which promotes holistic health and healing. We set forth principles and guidelines to build up the health ministries and to edify the church. Our goal is for the saints to prosper in health as their souls prosper (III John 2).

This Nurses Unit is a group of health care workers who are appointed to look out for the safety and well-being of church members in matters related to health when attending church functions. This includes, rending first aid and emergency care to injured or ill individuals and providing comfort and care to grieving families at funerals. Nurses have knowledge of local resources to refer members as needed for specialty or social support services.

The Sunshine Band teaches children about God; the love of God and God’s Son, Jesus; basic Bible concepts and knowledge; the basic rules of ministry; scriptures that provide a foundation for understanding, faith, love, grace, salvation and practical precepts for living holy and productive lives.

Through the Sunshine Band children have the opportunity to learn, lead, follow, teach, explore, display their talents, develop and grow under the prayerful leadership of local leaders. Activities are planned for each age group according to their physical, social, emotional and spiritual maturity. Our main endeavor is to: Bring them in from all walks of life to a victorious walk in Christ.

The primary focus of the Sunshine Band is to reach out to our children and offer an opportunity for them to receive salvation in their productive years. Through meaningful and wholesome activities such as music, Bible study, drama, arts and crafts, field trips, and special worship services, retreats and workshops, our children can be instructed in the principles of Godly living. We desire to guild a partnership between the home, the school and the church in order to provide a spiritual foundation and additional resources for each child.

The responsibility of the usher board is a unique ministry in itself. The major mission is to greet the members and visitors at the door with a smile and reassure them that they are in the Lord’s house. The ushers should make sure that everyone is properly seated and if a program or bulletin is prepared, make sure that they have one. The beauty of the Lord’s house is its order and the efficient user board helps to create a spiritual and welcoming atmosphere in the name of servant leadership.
